1. What is the name of the holiday?
-Cinco de Mayo
2.When will the holiday be celebrated in 2011?
-May 5th,2010
3. Who celebrates this holiday?
-Mexican and Chicano
4. Why is this holiday celebrated? What is the signifigance of this holiday?
-In May 1861 the French emperor Napoleon III (1808–1873) sent troops to conquer Mexico. Under the leadership of the Mexican general Ignacio Zaragozo, Mexicans resisted the French. On May 5, a small ragged group of Mexican soldiers defeated the powerful French army at Puebla (southeast of Mexico City). The French tried again, and this time succeeded in taking over Mexico City and making Ferdinand-Joseph Maximilan (1832–1867) the emperor of Mexico.
5. How is this holiday celebrated? Include any rituals, food , costumes, dance or music associated with this holiday.
-They party and eat Mexican dishes and Chicano dishes.

-This holiday on this card represents Christmas.
2. What type of images are used – photos, cartoons or graphics? How do the images used connect to the holiday/event?
-The images used in this card are cartoons. The images are connected to the holiday because of the stars,the background and the green people. Those are holiday colors.
3. In your opinion, is the cover of the card attention-grabbing? Explain exactly why or why not. Consider the arrangement of elements as well as use of images, color and text.
-The cover of the card is attention- grabbing because it's bright red and has smiley stars.
4. What text is written on the front of the card? Where is it located on the front?
-There is not text on the front of the card.
5. What text is written inside the card? Where is it located inside the card?
-The text inside says Season Greetings,Frohes Fest, and Bonnes Fetes. Its location is in the center of the card.
6. In your opinion, does the text inside the card connect to the image(s) on the cover? Explain exactly why or why not.
-No the words dont because stars that are smiley, green people, and a red background doesnt mean it could mean Christmas it could mean ohter thing like probably Birthdays.

-It shows what year the card was made, where the card was made, and a copyright.
8. To what consumer is this card targeted? (Consider age group, gender, race and/or religion.) What about the design led you to this conclusion?
-This card would mostly be to people who are younger because its simple and people who speak Dutch & French.
